Pasco homeless receive help from 10 News

New Port Richey, Florida -- Metropolitan Ministries on Monday received a $5,000 grant from 10 News and the TV station's parent company Gannett.

10 Community reporter Kathryn Bursch presented the check to Metro Ministry's President Tim Marks.

"We are thrilled by this support," said Marks. "So much support comes through the holidays, but the need goes on throughout the year."

UPDATE: Detectives investigating double fatal fire

HUDSON, Florida- Two women are dead and now the Sheriff's Office is taking the lead on a double fatal fire in Hudson from Monday morning. 

It happened shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Pine Street at Hudson Avenue, just west of US-19.

The shell of a raised mobile home with gaping holes is about all that's left from where the flames shot out. Emergency crews arrived to find the two young women dead after becoming trapped inside.

Repairs begin on possible Holiday sinkhole

Holiday, Florida -- Crews began work on Monday morning to fill a massive hole that opened up last month under a woman's driveway.

The suspected sinkhole took about three dump trucks of soil to fill. The home's owner says she's lucky she spotted the hole before backing her car out of her garage, where it remains stuck.

Man goes missing from Pasco assisted living facility

New Port Richey, Florida -- The Pasco Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a man who went missing from an assisted living facility Saturday.

Police say 42-year-old Shawn Dolan was last seen at Gulf Haven Assisted Living Facility at 6343 Rowan Road at 6 p.m. Saturday.

He has blue eyes, brown hair, 6'01", 180 pounds. Authorities say Dolan requires multiple medications and it is possible he could go to a local hospital to obtain them.

2 young women trapped and killed in Hudson fire

Hudson, Florida -- Two young women are dead after getting trapped in a fire at home in Hudson.

The flames broke out Monday morning on Pine Street, off Hudson Avenue west of U.S. 19.

The victims are Jessica Keith and Amber Lynn Jordan, both 24 years old.

Neighbors tell 10 News the two young women were friends who had been staying with the parents of one of the women. They had lived in this Pasco County community for just a few weeks, as they waited to move into a place of their own.

Then suddenly... it was all gone. 

Fundraisers for theater shooting victim's family

Wesley Chapel , FL - A fundraiser will benefit the family of Chad Oulson, the man killed inside the Grove 16 Movie Theater in Pasco County on Monday.

Beginning at 4 p.m. until closing, the Texas Roadhouse in Wesley Chapel is donating 10 percent of proceeds to Oulson's wife and young daughter.

Two other fundraisers are planned for the next week.  On February 8th the World of Beers in Land O'Lakes is doing a concert and donating a percentage of the proceeds to the Family. 

Detectives find missing man in Starkey Park

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (AP) - Detectives have found the man who got lost in Starkey Park.

According to detectives, Pablo Montanez is safe and unharmed.
