Plans unveiled for new Pasco sports facility

Wesley Chapel, Florida -- First a baseball field complex, now an Olympic-sized ice rink that could lure Olympians to train in Pasco County.

Just a few miles from The Fields at Wiregrass, developers closed a deal Thursday to build Cypress Creek Ice and Sports Complex.

Dave Andreychuk was at today's event showing the Lightning's commitment to expanding youth hockey in the Bay area. The new sports complex may also be the future home of USF Hockey. The 150,000-square-foot facility will have four rinks total and a multi-sports center.

Bed bugs force closure of Pasco fire station

Wesley Chapel, Florida – A bed bug infestation has forced the closure of Pasco County Fire Station No. 13.

The pesky parasites were discovered last week Wednesday at the Dayflower Boulevard location.

Deputies shoot arson suspect in Pasco county

Hudson, Florida -- A man who set fire at two Pasco county car dealerships later died in a shootout with deputies at his New Port Richey home.

At Rock Bottom auto dealers in Hudson surveillance cameras around the shop showed Patrick Tillery setting fires to various cars.

Owner Mario Vavoulis says a month ago Patrick Tillery purchased a car here at his dealership, then last night started two fires at the dealerships locations on US 19 and State Road 52.

"I believe he threw a cinder block," says Vavoulis.

Prom beer bash gets teacher in trouble

So, we visited Mark Twain Lane and implored Pasco County to consider his case and his street's inability to pay the steep, roughly $16,000 fee for installation.
