Tampa Palms head golf pro busted for child porn

Tampa Palms head golf pro busted for child porn

NEW TAMPA, FL -- An ongoing child porn investigation in the Bay area has netted another high-profile figure. This time, it's the head golf pro at a popular golf course in Tampa.

At the Tampa Palms Country Club there is shock, disgust - and concern. The course's head golf pro, 42-year-old David Glandt, is now tangled-up in an ever-expanding web of child pornography.

Dina Good, a club member whose daughter attends camp at the club, is concerned.

"They do camp and stuff and they go up to the golf course and driving range, so yeah that would be a concern, certainly," says Good.

Foreclosure confusion means relief for some

Foreclosure confusion means relief for some

WESLEY CHAPEL, Florida - After going an entire year without a real estate closing, Kim Darby thought she would lose her home to foreclosure.  But she earned a hard-fought victory over her bank in November after a two-and-a-half-year battle when a judge threw out the foreclosure proceedings.

Circuit Judge Lynn Tepper ruled on Nov. 8 that since the mortgage servicing company filing the foreclosure didn't own the mortgage, it couldn't take over the property.  In fact, it appears nobody knows who holds the lien on the Darby's property.

"It's a big issue," said Darby's lawyer, Randy Reder.  "It's going to remain a big issue for a couple of years."

Marine loses legs in Afghanistan, could return to U.S. today

New Port Richey, Florida-- A Bay-area Marine who grew up in Pasco County could return to the United States as early as today.

Lance Corporal Justin Gaertner suffered injuries to both legs and his left arm in an I.E.D. explosion in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving morning.

Gaertner's parents, who live in Trinity, got a brief call from their son Friday before he was flown to a military hospital in Germany.

Gaertner was part of an eight-vehicle convoy traveling through Afghanistan when one of the vehicles hit the I.E.D.

Gaertner was one of the marines specially-trained and assigned to get out and check for additional explosives when a second I.E.D was remotely detonated.

Gaertner and a close friend both lost their legs in the explosion. A third marine was killed.
