Overnight fire at a home in Lutz

Lutz, Florida -- A fire at a home in Lutz began overnight, reminding residents that a large amount of fires begin at night while people are asleep. 

Fire rescue units found heavy smoke coming from the home on Mobilaire Drive on Sunday morning. The crews were able to extinguish the fire and residents were evacuated prior to their arrival. 

There were no injuries to civilians or personnel and the American Red Cross was initiated to help with the displacement of the residents. The cause of the fire was determined electrical and isolated to one area.

Lawyer for family of theater shooting victims speaks out

Pasco County, Florida -- Just four days after Chad Oulson was fatally shot inside of a Wesley Chapel movie theater, his family is making sure justice is served.

When the story broke that young father Chad Oulson was shot and killed inside a Wesley Chapel movie theater, those in the Bay Area weren't the only ones affected by the news.

Funeral for Chad Oulson scheduled for Saturday

Pasco County, Florida -- On Saturday family and friends will gather to say goodbye to Chad Oulson. 

Oulson was the man shot and killed for texting inside a movie theater. His funeral will be held at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O'Lakes.

Hog-hunting mom charged with child neglect

New Port Richey, Florida - A woman has been accused of leaving children in a cold car while she went hog hunting on Thursday morning.

STORY: Mom left child, baby in freezing car to go hog-hunting

"I couldn't believe that somebody would actually leave their kids in the car and go hog hunting," said Curt Albrecht, a family acquaintance who lives near the woman. 

Around 5 a.m., a Pasco County Sheriff's Deputy arrived at Glades Avenue in New Port Richey.

Mom left child, baby in freezing car to go hog hunting

New Port Richey, Florida-- A mother was arrested on child neglect charges after deputies say she left an six-month-old baby and a nine-year-old in the car while she went hog-hunting. 

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, it was around 7 a.m. Thursday morning when the nine-year-old called 911 for help. 

He was freezing, he said, because the car he and the baby were in was off, and it was 38 degrees outside. 

After 30 minutes of being in the car, he figured "a police car would be warmer", the boy explained when the deputies arrived. 

Pasco doctor arrested for running unlicensed pain clinic

New Port Richey, Florida -- A Pasco doctor was busted for operating an unlicensed pain clinic and writing over 1.3 million doses of pain medication to over 1,300 patients.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says it's been investigating 62-year-old Malcolm Foster since 2012, and that most of his patients were prescribed unusually high doses of pain medication consisting mainly of Oxycodone, Soma and Xanax.

Deputies: Neighbor holds girl captive for hours

Zephyrhills, FL - A 56-year-old Zephyrhills woman is accused of grabbing her 9-year-old neighbor and holding her captive all day.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says Diane Marcino tried to get the girl to come inside her home on her way to her bus stop Wednesday morning. When the girl refused, deputies say Marcino grabbed the girl by her backpack and pulled her inside. 

The girl said to investigators that Marcino told her she had to come inside, because there were bad people after her.
