Book Club to discuss 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' | Arts & Culture
Land O' Lakes, Florida -- Do you love reading? Are you looking to engage in conversations with other book lovers? There is a local Book Club that is ongoing at the Rasmussen College Land O' Lakes campus at 18600 Fernview Street (Corner of 54 & Sunlake).
The new college campus was opened in the last year and it is becoming a hot spot for community meetings. This week they are discussing the book "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". Yes, this book inspired the 2011 movie starring Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks.
The book club is discussing Oskar Schell, an inventor, Francophile, tambourine player, Shakespearean actor, jeweler and pacifist. He's a 9-year-old on an urgent, secret search through the five boroughs of New York. His mission is to find the lock that fits a mysterious key belonging to his father, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center.
