West Pasco Bar Association holds its big event

Odessa, Florida -- Members of the the West Pasco Bar Association recently gathered with friends and colleagues at “The Big Event,” the association’s bench and bar social.

The event is one of the perks of association membership, now at 200 and growing. Held at Starkey Ranch in Odessa, the cool fall evening proved to be a perfect opportunity to enjoy this outdoor celebration.

Catered by Eston Crowder of Superior Events, attendees also had fun on hayrides or just sitting around sharing stories at the bonfire. Musical entertainment for the evening was provided by the band, “String Theory,” from Gainesville.

“The Big Event” invitations went to all WPBA members, their spouses and guests, legal professionals and all the judges in Pasco County and their guests.  Judges are honorary, non-voting members of the WPBA.

“It was well attended for a first time event. We had more than 70 guests that evening, including seven judges,” noted the WPBA President Gary Davis, a long-time attorney in New Port Richey.

They were Circuit Court Judges, Shawn Crane, Walter "Skip" Shafer, Jr., Linda Babb, Jack Day, and Bill Webb. County Judges in attendance were Ann Wansboro, Candy Vandercar, Frank Grey, county judge-elect and Circuit Court Judge-Elect, Kim Campbell.
