Police: Shooting at chiropractic office over a woman

Holiday, Florida -- The shooting at a Holiday chiropractic office on Monday that left a man in critical condition was over a woman, according to deputies.

The Pasco Sheriff's Office released their police report on the incident Friday which states the victim, Jaime Velez, told police at the scene he had received text messages from Lenny Linardos stating that Velez's girlfriend was at the chiropractic office performing leud acts on him.

Man robs two Zephyrhills banks minutes apart

Zephyrhills, Florida -- Zephyrhills Police officers are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of robbing two banks in the area Tuesday evening and possibly another in Wesley Chapel the day before.

The man is between 28-35 years old and is described as 5'6-5'8", 145-150 lbs, with short, light brown hair.

Pasco doctor arrested for running unlicensed pain clinic

New Port Richey, Florida -- A Pasco doctor was busted for operating an unlicensed pain clinic and writing over 1.3 million doses of pain medication to over 1,300 patients.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says it's been investigating 62-year-old Malcolm Foster since 2012, and that most of his patients were prescribed unusually high doses of pain medication consisting mainly of Oxycodone, Soma and Xanax.

Arrest made in murder of young man found along Pasco road

New Port Richey, Florida -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies say they've made an arrest in the murder investigation of a 20-year-old man found on the side of a Pasco County road Wednesday morning.

Investigators were alerted to the scene when a passerby saw the body of recent Gulf High graduate Antonio Rangel just before 8 a.m. along Moon Lake Road, near Caton Avenue.

Detectives say Rangel suffered several injuries including lacerations to his upper body and a large puncture wound to his chest.

Judge to Welden: Abortion pill probably caused miscarriage

Tampa, FL -- A federal judge sided with prosecutors Friday, finding the abortion pill that John Welden slipped his ex-girlfriend is what probably caused her to lose their pregnancy.

The decision from the evidentiary hearing will almost certainly mean a longer sentence for Welden.

John Welden left Tampa's federal courthouse unwilling to stop for comment or express remorse. But in less than three weeks, he'll be back before the same judge for sentencing under a plea agreement that would send him to prison for more than 13 years.
