Victim of February crash dies from injuries | Crime
SPRING HILL, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says a man who was hurt in a crash involving a driver's rampage almost two months ago has died.
The Tampa Bay Times reports 72-year-old Charles Hesser died last week at Tampa Bay area hospital.
Hesser was driving in Spring Hill on Feb. 15 when his vehicle was struck by a minivan driven by 38-year-old Richard Barrett Jr., of New Port Richey. The FHP says Hesser's pickup truck flipped six times.
The FHP says Barrett caused at least three crashes as he drove in Pasco and Hernando counties that day.
Barrett has been charged in the crash. The highway patrol is continuing its investigation.
