Deadly shooting in Temple Terrace | Crime
Temple Terrace, Florida -- Temple Terrace Police are investigating a shooting that took place early Tuesday morning at 8575 Montravail Circle.
Investigators say 31-year-old Jobree Platt, of Lutz, was visiting a relative at the Village Oaks Apartments. The two reportedly arrived home around 4:50 a.m. after a night out, when Platt got into a confrontation with a man in the building hallway.
The man pulled a gun, shooting and killing Platt. The suspect then took off on foot.
The shooting suspect is described as a black male, about 6'4, wearing all black clothing and a ski mask.
All of this happened just west of I-75 near Morris Bridge Road. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is assisting and using their helicopter to search the area.
The gunman's description is vague; he was wearing all black with a ski mask.
One of Platt's relatives witnessed the shooting, and was uninjured.
