3rd suspect, victims identified in Moon Lake attempted murder | Crime
New Port Richey, Florida -- UPDATE: Pasco County Sheriff's detectives have identified a third suspect wanted in connection with the attempted murder of a Moon Lake resident Friday night.
Detectives say Vanessa Musson helped steal several firearms during the assault on the 44-year-old man in his home in the 13000 block of Midvale Avenue. She is wanted on charges of Aggravated Battery, Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft of a Firearm.
Musson has multiple tattoos on her back, ankles and chest, including one that says "Nessa" on her arm. Police say she may have the victim's 2000 white Econoline van that has a rook/ladder rack on it with the tag 366TQH. She should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at 727-844-7711.
On Saturday, Pasco County deputies arrested two others in connection with the attack of Joseph Bruno--who took them in after meeting one of them on the online dating site, singlesnet.com--and his neighbor Friday night.
Detectives say Bruno invited 40-year-old Bobbie Jo Curtis and her 16-year-old son to live with him at his Moon Lake home. They had only been there a week when they tied him up and beat him unconscious in his home. They then stole household items and some guns and loaded them up in his van.
When Bruno's neighbor, David Ragon, saw the pair loading up the man's van with a bunch of stuff, he went over to ask them if his neighbor was okay. As he walked into the home, they hit him in the head with a baseball bat. When he regained consciousness, they were gone and he called police.
Bruno remains in the hospital in critical condition with serious head injuries. Ragon, 69, did not suffer life threatening injuries.
Bobbie Curtis and her son have been charged with Aggravated Battery, Attempted Murder and Grand Theft Auto.
