Scamming auto body repairman arrested, more victims sought | Crime
Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County deputies arrested a man on Dec. 13 for scamming three people he offered body repair work to and are looking for other victims.
Detectives say in each case 33-year-old Nicholas Johnson claimed he was going to make permanent repairs to body work on the victims' vehicles but, instead, used silly putty to cover up the damage. He then claimed he would return to finish the job, but never did.
Detectives say they believe there are other victims and are asking anyone who is a victim of this crime to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office Tipline at 1-800-706-2488. The sheriff's office believes Johnson would find his victims by driving around neighborhoods and parking lots and approaching them.
