Man arrested in bar fight stabbing, 1 hospitalized

Holiday, Florida -- Pasco Sheriff's deputies say they have made an arrest in a stabbing at a bar in Holiday Tuesday night.

Deputies say a witness told them he was arguing with Oscar Laboy at Hammer Heads Bar when it escalated. He said Laboy then stabbed another man several times. Two other witnesses also told investigators they also saw Laboy stab the man several times.

Laboy and others fled the scene but was found by deputies a half-mile away. Witnesses then identified Laboy as the assailant.

Cops: Man arrested after mooning neighbors

Holiday, Florida -- A Holiday man got so angry at his neighbors Saturday morning he reportedly decided to moon them as a way to visualize how they could "kiss [his] drug-dealing a--".

Pasco Sheriff's deputies say 25-year-old Nicholas Pasvantis got into an argument with at least three neighbors he said were taking pictures of vehicles that were coming and going from a home two doors down from his home on Chickadee Drive.

Man accused of beating rescue dog to death with bare hands

New Port Richey, Florida -- A New Port Richey man was arrested Monday for allegedly beating his newly-adopted rescue dog with his bare hands.

Neighbors called police around 10:30 Saturday night after they said they saw Brian Perry beat his German Shepherd/Rottweiller mix, named Gipper, with his fists while at their home.

Pasco Sheriff's deputies say four-year-old Gipper died from injuries he sustained in the beating.

U-Haul full of animals abandoned outside Publix

Hernando County, Florida -- Nearly 40 cats had to be euthanized Tuesday after they were found, along with other animals, in a U-Haul truck abandoned in the parking lot of a Spring Hill Publix.

Hernando Sheriff's deputies were called out to investigate and when they arrived, along with Pasco County Code Enforcement officials and Animal Services officers, they reported they could hear the animals "screaming" inside.

Man charged with sexually battering 4-year-old girl

New Port Richey, Florida -- A 24-year-old man is behind bars Monday after he allegedly sexually battered a 4-year-old girl he helped care for.

Pasco Sheriff's deputies say the 4-year-old told her maternal grandmother and another regular care giver about the abuse at the hands of John Kelly.

The girl's mother told deputies Kelly often watches her daughter for her when she is not around. 

In an interview with investigators, Kelly admitted to the abuse and was charged with capital sexual battery.

Zephyrhills, Florida -- Zephyrhills Police Chief David Shears and Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco will co-host a Crime Prevention Workshop for the greater Zephyrhills area Wednesday May 29.

The workshop will last from 6-7:30 PM at the City of Zephyrhills Council Chambers.

Citizens are invited and encouraged to attend and provide feedback on criminal activity or concerns. 

Pasco gun shop owner sentenced to 5 years in prison

Tampa, Florida -- The target of a series of 10 News Investigators stories will be spending the next five years in federal prison on drug and weapons charges.

Gary Galati, who owned Galati Guns in New Port Richey, was arrested in December as the result of an undercover operation the feds started last summer. 

Unknown to the 10 News Investigators, we started our own undercover investigation of Galati last summer as well and did a series of stories last fall.
