Dances with Dirt returns to Pasco’s Green Swamp

Dade City, Florida -- Trail running is catching fire in Florida and with the help and promotion from “Pasco County” a record field of over 600 runners is expected! It is not too late to enter, check out www.dwdgreenswamp.com and take a run with us on the wild side!

The event will feature lots of great wilderness trail running and walking with what we call, “Stupid spots”, like when there is no trail at all (bushwhack), or as you run through a couple of rivers, yikes!

The race starts and finishes at the Pasco County Withlacoochee River Park in Dade City.

The events include 10K, half marathon, full marathon, 50K and 50 Mile individual ultra-marathons and the way fun signature DWD event, the 5 person team 50 team relay where each member runs 2 legs of about 5 miles each.

Start times for the longer races are before sunrise, the rest of the events just after! Hikers/Walkers are welcome in the 10K (6.2 miles) and the half marathon (13.1 miles).

A barbeque party and the presentation of the coveted Gator Skull awards make for a fun finish. Flashy tech shirts and extreme trail finisher’s medals (To impress the wimps!) to all!

DWD Green Swamp is part of a four race, four season, four state series of events. Warning, the event is addictive and you’ll want to plan a road trip to them all! Spring in Gnaw Bone, IN, Summer in Devil’s Lake, WI, Fall in Hell, MI and Winter in Florida’s Green Swamp! www.Danceswithdirt.com.
