Wildfire closes portion of SR 471 south of Hwy 50 | News
Webster, Florida -- The Florida Forest Service has closed a portion of SR 471 south of Hwy 50 due to a wildfire burning on both the east and west side of the road.
Hernando and Pasco County Fire crews are working with the Forest Service now to suppress the 25-acre fire located within the Richloam Tract of Croom Forest, according to the Forest Service.
Both north and the southbound lanes of SR 471 have been closed to traffic. Motorists should avoid the area until the all-clear has been given.
