Fugitive found, arrested after he and family fled state

Katy, Texas-- Officials have located and arrested the Pasco County fugitive who went missing, along with his wife and two children, out of New Port Richey last month.

Garrett Bruce, his wife Jennifer and their sons, Brett and Dillon, went missing after reportedly ending all contact with close friends and family between the 10th and 12th of January.

Garrett was facing DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide charges for a 2012 crash in Tarpon Springs. He was out on bond, and was being monitored by an ankle bracelet, which he removed before the family fled.

Garrett was scheduled to attend a bond hearing at the end of the month, but never showed.

Now, over three weeks later, Pasco County Sheriff's officials say U.S. Marshalls found Garrett at Camping World in Katy, Texas around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The family had been there for two days, and was trying to get a fifth wheel travel trailer repaired.

The PCSO report says Garrett was arrested and booked at the Fort Green Sheriff's Office, and that his wife and kids are safe.
