PORT RICHEY, Fla. - A Bay Area woman is struggling with the arrest of a teenager she considers her daughter. The teen is accused of severely burning a child.

Maria Fernandez has known Chekayla Dampier for years.

NEW PORT RICHEY, Florida (AP) - A Tampa Bay area school board is considering whether to limit students' rights to take and post photos and videos from school on the Internet without getting permission first.

PORT RICHEY, Fla.- High school junior Dakota Bretnall wasn't thinking about homework or final exams Tuesday night. Instead, he was addressing the Pasco County School Board asking why a student who threatened to kill his entire class is now back on campus.

"He was like 'if you touch me I'm going to shoot the whole class!' And you, and the assistant teacher," said Bretnall who witnessed the disturbance in his U.S. History class.

Pasco County just unveiled it's brand new website this weekend. According to a county spokesperson, the cost came in at $60,201.

People are said to be excited about the new factors on the site, including interactive menus. The county is promising easier instructions for users.

LUTZ, Fla. -- Bruce Fleisher was as surprised as anyone to find himself atop the leaderboard.

The 63-year-old Fleisher shot a 6-under 65 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead over Michael Allen and Chien Soon Lu after the first round of the Champions' Tour Encompass Insurance Pro-Am.

"My expectations were really not very high whatsoever," Fleisher said. "It is a bonus. It was wonderful day. Maybe it will continue. I'm not quite sure."

The Pill Drop is scheduled on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Zephyrhills Police Department.
