Voters advised to consider vote-by-mail ballot

Pasco County, Florida -- Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley is advising voters to consider a vote-by-mail ballot for the Nov. 6 General Election due to the length of the ballot which contains 11 constitutional amendments as well as the Penny for Pasco referendum. 

For the first time, Pasco County voters will be issued a 2-page ballot which is needed to accommodate the length of the proposed amendments.

New Port Richey, Florida -- City residents are invited to have “Coffee with the City Manager” on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the New Port Richey Library Meeting Room, 5939 Main Street.

At this City Manager meeting, Manager John Schneiger will discuss current issues and listen to resident questions and concerns.

The free event is open to everyone so take advantage of this great opportunity to meet and share your opinions with City Manager John Schneiger.

Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners has announced it is accepting applications from individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board for a representative of economic development agencies.

According to the Pasco County website, economic development agencies is defined as, “local planning and zoning commissions or boards, community development agencies, and other local agencies and institutions responsible for regulating, promoting, or assisting in local economic development.”

OFA-Florida celebrates New Port Richey office grand opening

New Port Richey, Florida -- On Tuesday, Aug. 7, OFA-Florida celebrated the grand opening of a New Port Richey office with Pasco County supporters and volunteers.

 

The office will serve as a home base where volunteers for President Obama and other Democrats will connect with voters about the President’s accomplishments for Floridians and promises kept since taking office.

Supporters will discuss the choice in this election between two fundamentally different visions of how to grow the economy, create middle-class jobs and pay down the debt.

Deadline to request vote-by-mail ballots for the primary election

Pasco County Florida -- Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley has announced Wednesday, Aug. 8 is the deadline to accept vote-by-mail requests from voters who wish to be mailed a ballot for the Aug. 14 Primary Election.

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 9,  voters who wish to vote a paper ballot prior to election day may pick up the ballot at any of the three Supervisor of Elections' Offices.

Pasco County Florida - Early voting for the August 14, 2012 Primary will take place at the beginning of August.

According to a release from the Pasco County Supervisor of Elections, the early voting will open on Saturday, August 4 and last through Saturday, August 11, with Sunday hours now available for voters who wish to cast their ballot early.
