Imagine Middle School students to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity

Imagine Middle School students to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity

Zephyrhills -- Students from Imagine Middle School of Lutz are scheduled volunteer with Habitat for Humanity during a Thursday, October 20, field trip. The students will be building picnic tables at the Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco - Zephyrhills ReStore. The students will learn some basic construction and woodworking skills while trying to help a non-profit. This project is a win/win situation for both Habitat and the school.

Because of the students ages, they are not permitted to work on a Habitat construction site. This project will give them the best of both worlds. They still will be building, but in a safer environment. They can take this experience to a Habitat jobsite and help build a home when they are old enough.

Some of these picnic tables constructed by the students will be used for Habitat volunteers and some picnic tables will be sold at the Habitat ReStore to help build Habitat homes in East & Central Pasco County. We hope you will come out and encourage these students and thank them for trying to make their community a better place!
