Pasco School Board and County to team up on redistricting efforts

Pasco School Board and County to team up on redistricting efforts

Pasco County, Florida – According to a Florida Constitution Article, the Board of County Commissioners is required to develop a redistricting plan every decennial census to keep Commission Districts as nearly equal in population as practical. Another section of the article, Florida Statutes, has a similar provision to keep school board member residence areas nearly equal as practicable.

Over the last number of weeks, County staff has been working on different options to give the respective boards an opportunity to review the revised maps.

AHEC requires the students to do a project for their internship, and the trio chose to film their experience, then entered the video into the NACHC Video Competition.
