Meteorologist/Reporter

Hello everyone. While I have been forecasting the weather for more than 12 years, my interest in weather has been life long. I can still remember, as a small child, lying atop a pile of sugar cane at my grandfather's farm and watching the clouds float by. Now as an adult, I still watch the clouds in amazement as they pass by, possibly on a journey around the world.

In my television career, I've had the great pleasure of working at television stations all across the country. Some of the cities I've worked in include Raleigh, Phoenix, Charleston, South Carolina and of course Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida. My background in the television news industry is quite diverse. I've pretty much done everything on air, except sports. Interesting considering I am a huge sports fan. And yes, I fully support the Tampa Bay Rays, Buccaneers, and Lightning. I've reported from the field on just about every topic imaginable and I've anchored news, feature and talk show segments.

Among my most memorable celebrity assignments are cooking with Emeril Lagasse, interviewing Michael Jordan, and chatting it up with the likes of Bette Midler, Danny DeVito, Vin Diesel and many more of Hollywood's star power. Oh and I have to mention this, Denzel Washington, the two time Academy Award winner, once sent me a tongue-in-cheek video message after I skipped out of an interview with him to attend an important family event. What was I thinking? I was sick about it but it was either Denzel or my family. I'm sure, Denzel being the staunch family man that he is understood. I on the other hand am still kicking myself over it. I'll probably never get the chance again to meet him in person. And did I mention, he's my favorite male actor? Yeah, what was I thinking?

I graduated from the University of South Carolina's school of Journalism and Mississippi State University's Broadcast Meteorology program and I'm a member of AMS, NWS, NABJ and TBABJ.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. They mean the world to me. I love live music, the performing arts, cooking, sports, traveling, running, reading books, attending church and going to the movies.

I also enjoy working with youth and supporting charitable causes in the community like Pinellas Habitat for Humanity, where I serve on the Board of Directors.
