Coming Soon: 16th annual Kumquat Festival

Dade City, Florida -- The 16th annual Kumquat Festival is quickly approaching! The Festival will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, in downtown Dade City, centered around Pasco County’s iconic historic courthouse.

Over 40,000 attendees including Florida residents from Tampa Bay and surrounding counties, winter residents, tourists and “day trippers” will enjoy a day of fun, shopping and entertainment.

There is no charge to attend the Festival, and free shuttles from satellite parking areas are available.

The Festival celebrates the “little gold gem of the citrus industry” and, in partnership with Kumquat Growers Inc., showcases all the wonderful advantages of this versatile, tasty and healthy fruit.

Historic Downtown Dade City will be transformed into a gigantic marketplace focused on local businesses, hundreds of specialty vendors, dozens of partner sponsors, and the friendly, down home, unique old Florida experience that the Kumquat Festival has come to mean.

Attendees will get to try all the wholesome food available including kumquat pie, kumquat salsa and numerous kumquat recipe specialties. You can shop for crafts, enjoy the art displays and visit the new “Health and Wellness” section. There will be local, live entertainment, a children’s activity area, appearances by the “Kumquat Court” including Miss Kumquat 2013 and lots of fun things to do.

In the weeks leading up to the Festival the Chamber of Commerce will host the Kumquat Pageant, Kumquat Recipe Contest, Kumquat Quilt Contest, Merchants’ Window Decorating Contest and Grove and Packing House Tours.

The Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with 400 plus members, committed to economic development and the quality of life for our residents.
