Pasco County, Florida -- The third annual Pasco EcoFest will take place once again this November 8-10 at Sims and Starkey Parks. Along with the sustainable living education this event is built around, it will also include "Change of Art" an art exhibition designed to showcase diverse, innovative and exciting works of art from artists, creatives and out-of-the-box thinkers in Pasco County and the Tampa Bay region.

The exhibition will be held in an historic former church now more than 100 years old, Our Lady Queen of Peace (now known as Peace Hall), located in historic downtown New Port Richey's Sims Park just east the the meandering Cottee River. The exhibition will be be open to the public beginning Friday, Nov. 8. and all day on Saturday, Nov. 9.
 
Artists interested in participating in this show may submit up to three pieces of art, both two- and three-dimensional. The art work must be original to the artist, however the use of upcycled/recycled and repurposed materials is acceptable. The subject matter must be suitable for viewing by all ages. The committee is seeking artworks that encompass sustainability issues surrounding economic, cultural or ecological themes.

"Change of Art" is open to professional artists as well as amateurs and creatives. There is no fee to enter this exhibition. Submissions will be juried by a committee.
 
Submissions will be accepted on-line at the Pasco EcoFest website. There is no fee to enter artwork for this exhibition. The deadline to enter is  October 1, 2013.  Art will be reviewed and accepted on a first come first serve basis as exhibit space is limited. There will be a People‚Äôs Choice artist recognition in the various categories, such as garden art, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and most creative.
 
Pasco EcoFest 2013 is on the calendar for November 8, 9 & 10 providing a great opportunity for families and eco adventurers from Florida and beyond a mini-vacation right here in Pasco County that can be customized to fit personal tastes from high energy adventure to mellow meanderings.
