Pasco County, Florida -- The Suncoast Arts Fest at The Shops at Wiregrass keeps getting better with each passing year. Now in its ninth year, the Suncoast Arts Fest (SAF) continues to bring together quality artists and art lovers who are motivated to buy.

SAF 2014 takes place in the heart of the Tampa Bay area and convenient to major interstates at the Shops at Wiregrass on January 18 & 19.

The show is held at the peak of the tourist season in Tampa Bay and traveling artists are encouraged to combine this show with other Florida shows in warm, sunny Florida. It’s also a time when snowbirds abound and are always looking for something to do outdoors, and the Suncoast Arts Fest is a great way to start off the New Year!

One of the top bands on Saturday’s schedule features and local singing star, Julie Black. A critically acclaimed songwriter, Julie Black captivates audiences with a soulful sound that is genuine and emotionally uninhibited. Her sultry, powerful voice weaves potent tales within sumptuous melodies and rhythms and brings together elements of blues, jazz, soul and rock.
Black performs at major music festivals, concert halls and select venues with her talented band that includes Dave Eichenberger (guitar), Michael John (keys), Father Bill Spicuglia (bass) and Frankie Timpanelli (drums). Julie Black leaves a lasting impression on listeners with a sound that transcends time and genre and is considered “a major singing and songwriting talent” by the Blues Revue Magazine.
This exciting art experience, Suncoast Arts Fest, will present more than 130 juried visual artists and craftsman lined up along the main street in Wiregrass.  Musical entertainment will be set up in Center Court and there will be an interactive art area for volunteers to assist children with their art projects

The Suncoast Arts Fest promotes cultural awareness in Pasco County, Florida and benefits "Arts for Kids", a supplemental arts education funding program for area schools. All proceeds benefit “Arts for Kids” by way of a grant created by the parent nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization known as the Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc. Proceeds from this show and other related SAF activities supplement arts education funding in Pasco County’s public, private and charter schools.  SAF receives an annual grant from the county’s Tourist Development Council to support this countywide effort.
