Pasco County, Florida -- The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners has announced it is accepting applications from individuals interested in filling a vacancy on the Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board for a representative of economic development agencies.

According to the Pasco County website, economic development agencies is defined as, “local planning and zoning commissions or boards, community development agencies, and other local agencies and institutions responsible for regulating, promoting, or assisting in local economic development.”

The Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board is a not-for-profit organization that serves Pasco and Hernando counties by administering local workforce development and welfare reform programs through state and federal initiatives. The Board meets every other month alternating meetings between their New Port Richey and Spring Hill locations. Members of the Board serve for a term of four (4) years. This is a voluntary, non-paid position.

If you are interested in serving on the Pasco-Hernando Workforce Board as a representative of an Economic Development agency, please fill out the Citizens Advisory Boards’ Appointment Form. Once completed, click on the “email form” box at the bottom of the application, select “Desktop Email Application” for submittal and the application will be directed to the Board of County Commissioner’s Office. Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M. on Friday, August 24, 2012.
