Land O' Lakes, Florida --  The Nature Coast Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society meets the second Tuesday of every month and the subject of this month is "Creating a Backyard Wildlife Habitat."

This meeting will be dedicated to sharing the benefits of native plants with the community, and informing them about the hazards of invasive, exotic plant species. In a time when much of the native landscape has been altered, many of the plants that support wildlife are missing.

In this program we will learn ways we can create backyard wildlife habitats. We will learn which plants to use to provide food, protection, and nesting, and create an environment in your yard that will attract wildlife.

Meetings of the Chapter are free, and all interested parties are invited to attend, to bring questions about their yard, and participate in light refreshments and the native plant drawing.

Telephone inquiries are taken by Mary at (727) 849-2335.  Chapter website: http://www.pasconativeplants.org.

The meeting will start at 7:00 PM at The Land O' Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O' Lakes Blvd/US 41, Land O' Lakes, 34639, between SR 52 and SR 54.
