Victory Wrestling donates to youth parks scholarships

New Port Richey, Florida -- Victory Wrestling Association presented a check to the New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department for $1064.00, to be utilized in the “Open Arms Scholarship” fund.

The department’s staff will award ten scholarships to low-income New Port Richey youths up to 15 years of age for annual membership at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center.

When Victory Wrestling Association’s Al Schaefer heard there were no monies in the scholarship fund, he offered to conduct a wrestling event to benefit New Port Richey youth.  On June 4, 2011, the Victory Wrestling Association conducted “Slam! Tacular” at the Recreation and Aquatic Center.
