Water boil notice for Dade City

Water boil notice for Dade City

Dade City, Florida -- All residents of the City of Dade City have been alerted that a precautionary boil water notice is in effect due to repair work on the water system.

The water service has been temporarily interrupted, and the City advises all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

The notice will remain in effect until the repair work is completed and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. Residents will be notified again via a reverse-911 system when the boil water notice is rescinded, probably sometime next week.

If you have questions concerning the notice, contact Dade City Utilities Department at 352-523-5051.
