Florida Hospital Zephyrhills is partnering with Gulfcoast North Area Health Eduction Center. Together they are offering a six-week program to quit tobacco use.

Anyone who is living in the community is invited to join the program. It includes free nicotine replacement therapy.

County urges residents to stay out of the water

County urges residents to stay out of the water

Pasco County, Florida -- Many residents are experiencing flooding due to Tropical Storm Debby and while some residents may have no choice but to wade, paddle or drive through the water, the county is urging everyone to stay out of the water if possible.

The county says that although skin contact with flood waters may not, by itself, pose a serious health risk, health hazards are a concern when waters become contaminated. Flood waters may contain fecal material, associated bacteria, viruses and other pollutants.

Boil water notice lifted for Aloha Gardens community

Holiday, Florida -- The Florida Governmental Utility Authority annoucned Thursday it has lifted its precautionary boil water notice for the Aloha Gardens area. 

The notice was issued back on May 30 after a 2-inch water main break in the FGUA Aloha Gardens System. Water sample results from the Department of Health show the water is now safe to drink.
