3 district students fare well in science and engineering fair

Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County students from nine middle and high schools participated in the 58th Annual State Science and Engineering Fair March 26 through 28 at the Lakeland Center.  

Students shared winning projects including research findings conducted during school wide competitions conducted earlier in the year. The following three students received awards:

  • In Chemistry- Second place:  Samantha Williams - Smith Middle School (Teacher: Dana Levy)
  • In Biochemstry- Recognition: Paige DePagter - Mitchell High School (Teacher: Edwin Braddy)
  • In Engineering- Honorable Mention:  Ryan W. Williams - Smith Middle School (Teacher: Cheryl Long)
