Notice to voters about vote-by-mail ballots and early voting

Pasco County, Florida -- Supervisor of Elections, Brian Corley, would like to remind voters who requested a vote-by-mail ballot that in order to be counted, the ballot, per Florida Law, must be in the Supervisor of Elections' Office by the close of polls, 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17.

Vote-by-mail ballots cannot be accepted at the polling locations on Election Day.

If the ballot is being sent via United States Postal Service, it must be physically in the office by 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2013.

Early voting opens for the 2013 special primary election

Early voting opens for the 2013 special primary election

Pasco County, Florida -- Early voting for the September 17, 2013 Special Primary Election begins Saturday, September 7, through Saturday, September 14.

Voting will take place at the West Pasco Government Center and the hours for Saturdays and Sunday are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Pasco County, Florida -- Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley would like to remind voters that the upcoming September 17, 2013 Special Primary Election for House District 36, is per Florida Law a closed primary, and as such will be a partisan election for registered Republicans ONLY that reside in State House District 36. 

There are no democratic candidates, minor party candidates or amendments on the ballot.

Private elevated toll lanes proposed for Pasco County

Pasco County, Florida -- State of Florida Department of Transportation announced today it received an unsolicited proposal from International Infrastructure Partners, LLC,  to lease the State Road 54/56 Corridor rights-of-way owned by FDOT to design, construct, operate, and maintain an elevated toll facility, connecting US Highway 19 to State Road 301. 

If constructed, this would be the first wholly privately funded road built within State owned right-of-way in Florida.
