Pasco County, Florida -- With candidate qualifying for the April 9, 2013, Municipal Elections in five of six Pasco County municipalities kicking off Feb. 12, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley sent out the following email to voters:

The cities of New Port Richey, Port Richey, San Antonio, St. Leo and Zephyrhills have council or commission seats open and will be holding elections for voters residing within those city limits. In addition, the city of Zephyrhills will also be electing a mayor.

New Port Richey, Florida -- The City has announced those interested in becoming a candidate for one of two open City Council seats in the upcoming City Municipal Election can now pick up their qualifying documents.

Candidates for elective office in the municipal election must be a duly registered voter and a resident of the corporate limits of the City of New Port Richey for at least six months prior to the election.

Qualifying begins on Feb. 12 at noon and ends on Feb. 19 at noon. No applications will be accepted after that time.

Study Committee on Water & Wastewater Utilities to hold public meeting

New Port Richey, Florida -- The Study Committee on Investor-Owned Water & Wastewater Utility Systems (Committee) will hold a public meeting in New Port Richey on Wednesday, Dec. 5. 

Established by the 2012 Florida Legislature, the Committee is addressing issues of concern to investor-owned water and wastewater utility systems, particularly small systems and their customers, and researching possible solutions.

Organizers are inviting you to come see and listen to local candidates who want your vote!

Lunch is available at the cost of $12.95.

The location is at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club at 3535 Trophy Blvd.
