Pasco County Florida -- The Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Office says early voting for the Nov. 6, 2012 General Election begins Saturday, Oct. 27, through Saturday, Nov. 3, at seven locations with Sunday hours now available for voters who wish to cast their ballot early.

"Many voters utilize the option of casting their vote early at their convenience," said Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian E. Corley.  "The numbers of early voters will be added daily to the unofficial voter turnout on our website, www.pascovotes.com."

Supervisor of Elections warns voters of misrepresentation

Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley is alerting voters to a potential misrepresentation by organizations sending alarming messages to voters regarding their voter registration status or potential ineligibility.

The elections' office says it has received several complaints from voters who have received robo-calls and door-to-door solicitors offering voter registration services.  In several cases, there have been allegations of the solicitor being affiliated with the Supervisor of Elections' Office.

Tampa Bay, Florida -- Although the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) increased its operating budget by $4.5 million for the coming fiscal year, property owners will not pay a higher tax to the state agency responsible for flood control and surface and groundwater quality in the Tampa Bay area.

Tuesday night the Southwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board approved the 2012-13 fiscal year budget and millage (or tax) rate. The fiscal year starts Monday, Oct. 1.

Pasco County, Florida -- Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley announced that voter turnout for the Nov. 6, 2012 General Election is now being posted daily on the elections' office website, pascovotes.com

Until the vote-by-mail mass mailing scheduled for Oct. 2, the voter turnout numbers represent only the overseas ballots that have been returned.

Over 35,000 vote-by-mail ballots to be mailed

Pasco County, Florida -- Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley has announced on Tuesday, Oct. 2 the office is scheduled to mail over 37,000 ballots for the Nov. 6, 2012 General Election to voters with requests already on file.

For eligible voters who did not previously request a ballot, they are still available upon request by calling the elections' office, by submitting the request in writing or by using the online request form on pascovotes.com.

Landowners invited to public meeting on county ordinances

Land O' Lakes, Florida -- Pasco community leaders will learn the details about county ordinances affecting landowners and the enforcement of them at the Pasco Alliance of Community Association’s monthly meeting on Thursday, Sept. 13.

The public is invited to the meeting that begins at 7 p.m. at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center. It is located at 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. (US 41), three miles north of SR 54.
