A lot of community residents are concerned about neighborhood safety because these abandoned homes maybe breeding grounds for criminal activity. Moreover, they can be an eyesore to those of us who try to keep our neighborhoods "tidy".

Habitat for Humanity of East & Central Pasco needs families for Habitat homes. We do not currently have a waiting list.

We accept applications year-round in our Habitat corporate office located in the Dade City Business Center 15000 Citrus Country Dr Suite 420 Dade City, FL 33523 (Hwy 301 & Lock St).

New Port Richey, FloridaCommercial Asset Partners Realty is pleased to announce their involvement with Directions for Mental Health, Inc., identifying an ideal location for Directions’ expansion of mental health services into Pasco County.  Carol Kinnard, Commercial Associate, facilitated the transaction.

“We were thrilled to work with Directions in their search for a Pasco location.  Directions will soon be seeing patients at 5642 Meadow Lane in New Port Richey,” said Kinnard.  “Their new location in the city affords easy access by patients as well as other medical providers in the area.” 

Directions for Mental Health is a nonprofit organization, employing more than 220 staff members and serving approximately 10,000 people annually.

Sheriff Nocco to discuss policing strategies with Pasco homeowners

Pasco County, Florida -- Newly-appointed Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco will discuss his policing strategies when he addresses the Pasco Alliance of Community Associations' monthly meeting beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14. 

The public is invited to attend the PACA meeting. It begins at 7 p.m. at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center, located at 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. (US 41), three miles north of SR 54.

Sheriff Nocco will discuss his strategic planning initiatives as well as intelligence-led policing, and his plans to combat the illegal dispensing of prescription drugs. The sheriff will answer questions following his presentation.

PACA president Jim Flateau said, “We look forward to Sheriff Nocco’s first visit with PACA members. We are eager to welcome him and learn about the policing initiatives and other crimefighting techniques he is implementing for the protection of Pasco County residents.”

The 2011 HLR report includes 2,300 markets in North America. The survey includes a total of 129 real estate markets in Florida.

Free workshop for families facing foreclosure

New Port Richey, FL -- The foreclosure epidemic in the United States is showing no sign of slowing down, especially since millions of Americans are underwater on their mortgage, owing more than their home is worth.

To help to educate homeowners about the options available them while facing foreclosure, the Neighborhood Community Foundation is having a free foreclosure prevention workshop in New Port Richey on Thursday, June 9.

An independent, nonprofit organization based in Sarasota, the Neighborhood Community Foundation strives to help residents develop a better understanding of the foreclosure process, recognize their legal rights, and learn about their options and potential solutions so they can remain in their home.
