Land O' Lakes, FL -- Michael Carbone of Land O' Lakes sent 10 News this photo of what is left of his awning on his travel trailer from yesterday's storms.

Carbone says he lives in the trailer but was not home at the time. He also reports some portable carports were blown over or torn to shreds in their mobile home/RV park.

Expect school buses delayed a half hour in West Pasco

New Port Richey, FL -- Parents should expect their kids' buses to be delayed about half an hour due to the severe weather that blew through Pasco County early this morning. 

Pasco County Schools decided to pull buses that were on their routes off the roads when the first severe line of showers blew through West Pasco around 6:30 a.m.

Pasco County, FL -- The Pasco County Office of Emergency Management has issued a severe cold weather alert for tonight. Read the full report below:

Low pressure system will drop temperatures Saturday and Sunday night into the mid 30's with wind chills causing temperatures to feel like the low 30's to upper 20's over inland Pasco County.

These low temperatures and wind chills are dangerous to anyone who will be outside for a long period of time. Children, the elderly and pets are especially vulnerable to the cold and extra care should be taken to protect them. Make sure to bundle up and dress in layers to keep as warm as possible!

New Port Richey, FL -- It's no secret that Florida had one of the coldest Decembers on record. 

The temperatures for sunny Florida have been well into freezing digits. Despite this cold snap we've seen, there are some who decided to take the Polar Plunge recently.

On Saturday at the Aquatic Center, people did just that and took a dip into the frigid waters. Fortunately, in the end, there was hot cocoa and cookies waiting.

The low pressure system continues to put temperatures overnight ranging from 19-26 degrees.
