Stolen iPhone traced back to jail

Lutz, Florida -- A man in jail for disorderly intoxication now faces more charges after a stolen iPhone was traced back to him.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says the phone's owner noticed it had been stolen from his car's glove compartment while it was parked outside the Whiskey Willy's Saloon on Sunday night in Lutz. When he tracked the phone through its GPS app, it showed it was located at the Land O'Lakes Jail. 

Pasco deputies say the phone made its way behind bars thanks to 22-year-old Christopher Lindsey.

Teen calls 911 to threaten deputy enforcing curfew

Zephyrhills, Florida -- A Zephyrhills teen really didn't like the deputy who told him it was time to go home after he was seen out and about around 1:45 Tuesday morning--and he let dispatchers know it.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says once he got home the 17-year-old called 911 and told them he wanted "the deputy to return so he could punch him". The deputy went back to the boy's home and told him not to call 911 unless there was an emergency.

Hudson, Florida -- A student, her sister, and her mother all face battery charges against a law enforcement officer after he was attacked in the high school's hallway.

The officer reported he was standing in the hallway outside his office at Fivay High School when the female student shoved him in the chest. When she tried to "push through him," he grabbed her arms. That's when her mother reportedly walked into the hallway and grabbed the deputy's arms and shirt. 

Students charged after practical joke cause injury

St. Leo, Florida -- A practical joke gone wrong landed two St. Leo University students in jail Tuesday.

Pasco County deputies say Tyler Slaveski and Ryan Tannenbaum, both 18, sprayed furniture polish on the Terazzo floor inside the front door of Marmion-Snyder Hall to see if someone would slip and fall.

Couple's 3-way sex romp turns violent

ZEPHYRHILLS, Florida (CBS NEWS) - Florida police arrested a married couple after the wife pulled a gun on her husband when she caught him sneaking out to have sex with a woman who they had just had a three-way with, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cops: Woman stabs boyfriend in hand with fork

Land O' Lakes, Florida -- A woman was arrested for domestic battery Thursday after her boyfriend told police she stabbed him in the hand with a fork.

According to the arrest affidavit, Jennifer Ritter confronted her boyfriend about an alleged affair, and when he tried to avoid the conversation, she grabbed a fork and stabbed him in the web of his left hand.

As he left their shared home, in their shared vehicle, she ran after the car hitting it several times with the metal end of a dog leash.

Ritter, 25, was arrested without incident and taken to Land O' Lakes Jail.

Teen arrested in jail parking lot

LAND O'LAKES, Florida (AP) - A Tampa Bay area teen was arrested twice within several hours, the second time after authorities say he tried to break into a car in the jail parking lot.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports that 18-year-old Richard Owens was arrested and charged with trespassing Friday evening. He was released a short time later, and a deputy reported seeing him in the jail's parking lot at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
